Mass Spectroscopy

The Mass Spectroscopy section analyzes soils, waters and TCLP extracts for volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds.  Analysis is performed using the current EPA methods including SW-846 8260A or 8260B and 8270 and EPA water methods 624 and 625.

 

The section also has the capability to perform analysis of air samples by the Clean Air Act methods including TO-13A, TO-14A and TO-15.  Sampling canisters for TO-14A or TO-15 analysis are cleaned and certified by the laboratory and are available for client sampling requirements. 

 

The Mass Spectroscopy section also conducts the analysis for the presence of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons from high volume air sampling cartridges by method TO-13A.
